Co-Founder of ADAPT Centre for Digital Media Technology, TCD and was its CEO from 2011-Nov 2022.
The ADAPT Centre is a world leading research centre for Centre for Digital Media and Content Technology. It focuses on research areas such as content search, analysis, machine learning, personalization, adaptation and multimodal delivery. Vincent holds the position of Professor (Chair) of Computer Science (est. 1990), School of Computer Science and Statistics, Trinity College Dublin (TCD). He also holds a personal chair in AI in TCD.

He is founder of the Learnovate Centre which is a Centre of excellence for innovation and research in learning and collaborative technologies. (http://www.learnovatecentre.org)

He co-founded & was non-executive Director of ETU (Empower The User) a TCD campus company which provides award winning tools for Simulation based Training, Analytics and Multimedia Delivery. (http://www.etu.ie)

Vincent is an international research leader in the area of Adaptive web based systems, technology enhanced learning & personalization technology. He has published over 350 scientific papers in peer reviewed international journals and conferences. He has led over 18 European Union/International Research projects, significant research funding awards (EURO 150M). He was awarded Fellowship of TCD in 2002.
