Fionnuala is a seasoned global technology leader & senior advisor with extensive experience leading business operations for international companies from Ireland, helping them scale and transform their business across global markets.

During her career, she helped companies like Google, AOL and Best Western establish operations from scratch and scale them up rapidly and successfully. She set up Google’s SMB advertising sales team in EMEA, growing it in just a few years to a 1,000 person organisation and multibillion dollar business, accounting for half of Google’s advertising revenue in the region.

In her role as Head of Google Ireland and VP SMB Sales EMEA Fionnuala championed a coaching approach and made it a top priority for her organisations. She led the charge on this by significantly working on and changing her own leadership behaviours. As her roles and teams grew in remit and size, she became a student of intentional organisational design and talent management with a particular focus on the processes and procedures that need to underpin any behavioural changes.

Operational rigour and customer obsession are some of her key traits, along with her willingness to learn and invest in new skills to adapt to changing circumstances and requirements. In that vein, she enjoys acting as an objective sounding board for CEOs juggling the often contradictory requirements of the role.

After 25 years working in the multinational sector, Fionnuala now spends her time advising Irish CEOs and start ups and learning how to adapt her skills and experience to this new context. She also sits on a number of boards in the start up and charitable sectors.
