Winners of the 23rd Ireland eGovernment Awards were announced on the 18th September 2025 at O’Reilly Hall, Belfield, Dublin 4. The winner’s trophies were presented by Jack Chambers TD, Minister for Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Services, Reform and Digitalisation. The 2025 Overall Award winner is the LGMA.

This award recognises entries which showcase initiatives that leverage technology to reduce carbon footprint, conserve resources, and promote eco-friendly practices.
Smart Cities & Urban Development
The eGovernment Smart Cities and Urban Development Award recognises projects that demonstrate innovation, sustainability, and citizen-centric design.
Life events & Service Design (New)
The eGovernment Data Protection Award recognises projects that prioritize compliance with GDPR (or similar) regulations, robust encryption methods, and secure data storage practices.
Cybersecurity & Data Protection
The eGovernment Cybersecurity Award recognises projects that prioritize robustness, resilience, and proactive defense measures.
Cross-Government Collaboration & Integration
This category recognises the use of digital technology to enhance or promote cross-organization collaboration in the public sector, judges prioritize synergy, interoperability, and impact.
Universal Design
This award is for “Design so thoughtful it works for everyone”.
Digital Identity, Trust & Secure Access (New)
This award will be made to digital initiatives that prioritize inclusivity, accessibility, and cultural sensitivity.
