Matt McConnell FCCA is Head of Operational Technology and AI Implementation at Uisce Éireann, Ireland’s national water utility. A qualified accountant and UCD graduate, he has more than 20 years’ experience across the utilities and financial services sectors, with expertise spanning large-scale transformation, investment planning and operational change.

At Uisce Éireann, Matt’s work brings together digital technology and critical national infrastructure, with a particular focus on operational technology, data, automation and the practical application of AI. He has been involved in work examining remote monitoring and control and the use of AI to improve efficiency and operations.

He also played a role in Uisce Éireann’s award-winning digital transformation programme across IT and Asset Operations.

Matt brings to the Summit a practical perspective on how digital capability can help Ireland operate essential infrastructure more efficiently, reliably and resiliently.
